'Beachcomber' & Crew!

'Beachcomber' the Boat:

‘Beachcomber’ is an 8.86 metre long (almost 30 foot) and 3 metres wide, Cairns Custom Craft aluminium boat with a cruising speed of 20 knots powered by two new (2023) Honda 150hp outboards – the perfect boat for a Gold Coast Fishing Charter, a Skippered day tour of the Broadwater or some Whale Watching offshore!.

‘Beachcomber’ also serves as an excellent & versatile Location Scouting Boat, ‘Camera Boat’ or support boat for film & media shoots on the Gold Coast through to Moreton Bay! Her large carrying capacity, configuration where film crews can be facing the action, as well as roof & bow structure have proven a fantastic platform for rigging camera gear and carrying cast and crew.

Combined with our experienced Skipper, we’re available to help your production get the perfect shot!

‘Beachcomber’ has front access stairs to enable boat access for our guests from a beachside pickup location.

‘Beachcomber’ provides shelter from the sun with an extended roof and drop-down marine clears provide shelter from the wind and rain should the weather become inclement while we are out on the water.

A marine toilet plus fresh water sink on board makes it easy to enjoy extended days out on the water.

Beachcomber is licensed to carry 12 passengers & 2 crew both inshore and offshore

'Beachcomber' the Crew:

Beachcomber Charters is a small, family operated business.  Our goal always is for our guests to have the best day out on the water that we can make happen.

Captain Andreas has spent 40 years in the Hospitality Industry, and alongside his love of boating – making guests happy is his passion!  Andreas is also a Chef, so the Platters and catering are his specialty.

Our Deckhand is Cooper. Cooper is your fishing guide along with Andreas for both offshore and Broadwater adventures.  Cooper is also an avid snorkeler, so he’s our guy when guests need a snorkel buddy as well.  Cooper has grown up with boats and boating and knows his way around Beachcomber and the waterways of the Gold Coast.

Our third member of the Crew is Amanda.  Normally answering phones and doing admin, but you may find her on board when it comes time for the Christmas Lights Tours as that’s her favourite time of the year!

All in all we work together to help our guests have a wonderful and memorable boating experience – our goal always!
